Job description
3 months contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
• A highly motivated and experienced Adult Social Worker is required to join a multi-disciplinary Adult Safeguarding Team.
• The successful candidate will work with vulnerable adults, often in complex or challenging situations, while promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
• The role is rooted in delivering strength-based, person-centred support in line with statutory duties and local practice frameworks.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Undertake safeguarding enquiries and statutory assessments in line with the Care Act.
• Liaise with health professionals, families, and other key stakeholders to ensure holistic care planning.
• Develop and review person-centred care plans for adults at risk.
• Complete assessments under the Mental Capacity Act and contribute to Best Interest decisions.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and case conferences.
• Keep detailed, accurate, and timely records of casework.
• Apply current legislation, policies, and procedures in all practice.
• Promote service user independence and protect individuals from harm or abuse.
• Respond to urgent or emergency situations with professional judgment and empathy.
Skills/Experience:

Additional Information:
• The closing date: 09/09/2025 @13:00.
• Full-time: 36 hours per week.
• Hybrid working may be considered depending on service needs.
