Job description
Dudley Children’s Services puts children first and at the heart of all we do. We bring multi-disciplinary teams together through our Family Safeguarding model and use restorative, strengths-based approaches to work with families and their networks to achieve better outcomes.
We are seeking four enthusiastic, committed, and experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioners to join our Service Improvement Team. This role focuses on driving service improvement across children’s services by working alongside frontline teams to model good practice, and providing targeted support and development to services, teams, and individual staff to achieve the best outcomes for Dudley children and families.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support service improvement initiatives across children’s services, ensuring best practice is embedded.
Work alongside frontline teams to model high-quality, evidence-based social work practice.
Deliver focused development sessions and coaching for staff and teams to strengthen practice.
Collaborate with the Service Improvement Team, Service Lead, Team Manager, and Dudley Centre for Professional Practice to identify areas for improvement.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact of improvement work to inform future strategies.
Promote a culture of learning, professional development, and reflective practice within the service.
Requirements
Proven experience as a social work practitioner within children’s services.
Strong knowledge of social work legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice approaches.
Experience in service improvement, quality assurance, or practice development.
Ability to model and embed strengths-based, restorative practice with teams and individuals.
Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people, and families.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.
