Job Summary:
• The ASB Officer will be responsible for investigating and resolving cases of anti-social behaviour (ASB) with the aim of improving the quality of life for residents.
• This office-based role involves working in close partnership with internal departments and external agencies to provide swift, effective, and proportionate interventions in line with ASB policies and procedures.
• The role includes court preparation, victim support, and collaboration with key stakeholders to promote community safety.

Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Conduct thorough investigations into reports of anti-social behaviour, including evidence gathering and interviews.
• Draft high-quality statements, affidavits, and court documentation; prepare and present cases in court.
• Liaise with legal advisors and represent the service at hearings where appropriate.
• Engage with victims and witnesses sensitively, ensuring appropriate support and safeguarding referrals are in place.
• Work collaboratively with the Police, enforcement officers, mental health services, safeguarding teams, and other agencies.
• Utilise preventative, diversionary, and enforcement tools to address ASB and reduce its recurrence.
• Monitor ASB hotspots and contribute to patrol planning and joint enforcement operations.
• Maintain accurate case records, ensuring compliance with data protection and information sharing protocols.
• Participate in community safety projects and multi-agency initiatives to address ASB and enhance public confidence.

Skills/Experience:
• Demonstrable experience managing complex ASB cases, including tenancy breaches.
• Proven experience in drafting witness statements, preparing court bundles, and court representation.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and ability to support vulnerable individuals.
• Experience in multi-agency partnership work and organising professionals’ meetings.
• Skilled in conducting sensitive interviews with witnesses and perpetrators.
• Proficient in case management systems (e.g., Flare or equivalent) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relevant housing and ASB legislation, civil and criminal procedures.
