Summary
- To provide compassionate, person-centered care and support to adults with varying needs, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. The role involves working closely with individuals in their homes or supported living environments to assist with daily activities, personal care, and social inclusion, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and support tailored to individual needs and care plans.
- Assist with personal care tasks including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Support individuals with medication in line with care plans and training.
- Promote independence by encouraging individuals to participate in daily living activities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to service users.
- Monitor and report changes in individuals’ health or well-being to senior staff.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns.
Experience
- Understanding of person-centered care and the needs of vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Moving and handling certificate is essential.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but not essential.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards) is advantageous.
