Summary

The CCTV Operations Officer will play a crucial role in delivering an effective and compliant CCTV service for the Council on a 3-month contract. This position involves system monitoring, operational checks, first-line technical support, evidence gathering, and maintenance coordination. The role is vital in ensuring the security and safety of the community through efficient CCTV operations.

Deliver a reliable and efficient CCTV service, including system operation, maintenance coordination, and technical support.
Conduct routine system checks and troubleshoot technical issues, escalating where necessary.
Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and servicing of CCTV equipment, making recommendations for replacement where appropriate.
Provide professional advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders on CCTV-related matters.

Requirements:

Proven experience working with CCTV systems or in a technical operations environment.
Experience in evidence handling, investigations, or working within a regulatory framework is desirable.
Experience working in partnership with law enforcement or public sector organizations is advantageous.
Relevant qualification in CCTV operations, security systems, or a technical discipline (desirable).
Knowledge of CCTV legislation (PACE, RIPA, GDPR/Data Protection) is highly desirable.
SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) Licence (or willingness to obtain).
