Job Purpose

As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across a busy school setting. You will clean classrooms, offices, toilets, changing rooms, and communal areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained for staff and students.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

• Clean classrooms and teaching areas.
  
• Clean toilets and washroom facilities.
  
• Clean offices and administration areas.
  
• Clean changing rooms and communal spaces.
  
• Vacuum carpets and floors.
  
• Mop and sanitise floors.
  
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
  
• Dust and sanitise surfaces.
  
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely.
  
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and cleaning standards.
  
• Maintain a clean and welcoming school environment.
  

Essential Experience Required

• Previous cleaning experience.
  
• Experience working in schools, offices, or commercial cleaning environments is desirable.
  
• Good attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently.
  
• Reliable and punctual.
  
• Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards.
  
• Ability to work as part of a team.
  

Essential Qualifications Required

• Enhanced DBS (required).
  
• Right to Work in the UK.
  

Additional Information to Note

• Working Hours: 20 hours per week.
  
• Monday to Friday.
  
• Shift Pattern: 15:00 – 19:00.
  
• Location: Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy, Derby.
  
• Reason for Hire: Vacant Post Cover.
  
• Enhanced DBS with Barred List required.
  
• School cleaning environment.
  
• Supplier Submission Deadline: 01th October 2026.
  
• We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
