3 Month Contract With A Local Authority

To maintain lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces to a high standard, ensuring they remain tidy, attractive, and healthy. The role supports the upkeep of public-facing environments, including crematorium grounds, delivering a respectful and professional service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general grounds maintenance duties including mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, pruning, and planting.
  
• Maintain the visual appeal and functionality of outdoor public spaces.
  
• Ensure all work is completed to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  
• Safely transport tools, equipment, and crew between sites as required.
  
• Operate and maintain grounds maintenance machinery and tools.
  
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices at all times.
  
• Work professionally in public-facing environments, demonstrating respect and sensitivity, particularly in crematorium settings.
  
• Support team members and supervisors to ensure efficient service delivery across multiple locations.
  

Requirements

• Experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role.
  
• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
  
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  
• Good understanding of safe use of grounds maintenance equipment.
  
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  
• DBS check (preferred/advantageous).
  
• Towing licence.
  
• Previous experience working in public-facing environments.
