6 months contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

  • The Interim Resourcing Administration Manager is responsible for managing and leading the endtoend processing of recruitment activity for Metropolitan Borough Council and partner schools/academies contracted through Traded Service agreements.
  • The role ensures recruitment activity is delivered efficiently, compliantly and within agreed deadlines, while maintaining strong governance, GDPR compliance and safeguarding standards. The postholder provides operational leadership to the Resourcing Team in the absence of the Resourcing Coordinator and supports the continuous improvement of recruitment systems and processes.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Manage and oversee the processing of all Council and school/academy vacancies in line with agreed approval and clearance processes.
  • Ensure recruitment activity meets stipulated timelines and service standards.
  • Embed and maintain GDPRcompliant processes to support safeguarding and data protection requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance to hiring managers, customers and employees on recruitment activity, escalating issues where appropriate.

Essential Experience Required

  • Significant experience within a recruitment, resourcing or HR administration environment.
  • Experience managing highvolume recruitment processes within a public sector or similarly regulated environment.
  • Proven experience of leading or supervising recruitment or administration teams.
  • Experience of working with applicant tracking systems; experience with Tribepad is desirable but not essential.

Essential Qualifications Required

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in HR, resourcing or business administration.
  • Strong working knowledge of GDPR, data protection and safeguarding principles within recruitment.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion considerations in recruitment.
  • Good level of IT literacy and confidence working with recruitment systems and databases.

Additional information to note

  • Hybrid working arrangement, with onsite attendance currently required every Wednesday and on an adhoc basis for team meetings and development activities.
  • We work on bi-weekly schedule.
