Summary

Rate: £20.20 ph

Contract Length: 2 Months, 36hrs pw. 8am - 4pm

This role involves performing labouring, driving, and cleaning tasks on housing, public buildings, and other properties owned or managed by the Council. The position supports craft workers in executing repairs and maintenance, ranging from emergency and routine reactive repairs to scheduled refurbishments in both occupied and vacant properties. The role is crucial for maintaining the Council's standards and ensuring efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

Execute general labouring tasks as directed.
Perform driving duties, including deliveries, collections, and handling large building materials.
Collect and deliver goods, materials, and equipment to remote trade staff, ensuring proper documentation for store management.
Assist craft workers across various trades, including wet trades and drainage engineers.
Maintain cleanliness and order in workshops, sites, and offices, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Ensure safe working methods and compliance with health and safety standards, minimising inconvenience to residents.
Accurately complete all required documentation for organizational administration.
Manage and responsibly use a Council vehicle, following the Council’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

Requirements:

Experience in a maintenance environment with occupied properties.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team.
Physical fitness to perform manual tasks.
Health & Safety training certificates relevant to the role.
Valid UK driving license.
