2 Month Contract With A local Authority

To undertake plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations within communal areas of residential properties across the borough, ensuring a safe, functional, and high-quality environment for tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance work in communal areas including fixing leaks, blockages, and faulty pipework.
  

• Install, repair, and maintain communal heating systems, water supply lines, pumps, valves, and fixtures.
  

• Respond promptly to emergency plumbing requests to prevent property damage and maintain service continuity.
  

• Diagnose faults accurately and provide efficient and lasting repairs.
  

• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including service reports and job completion forms.
  

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
  

• Liaise professionally with tenants, caretakers, and other stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption and maintain good customer relations.
  

• Use and maintain plumbing tools and equipment responsibly and safely.
  

• Participate in any on-call or emergency rota as required.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a qualified plumber, ideally with experience in communal or social housing settings.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose plumbing issues.
  

• Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to plumbing work.
  

• Full UK driving licence.
  

• Good communication and customer service skills.
