6 months contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
- The Property
Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring the Council’s property estate
meets all statutory compliance obligations. The role supports a dedicated
compliance project aimed at identifying non‑compliance issues,
implementing remedial actions, and ensuring the estate is fully compliant for
transition into business‑as‑usual operations.
- The postholder will
lead on site inspections, contractor management and compliance tracking,
working closely with internal teams and legal colleagues to ensure statutory
responsibilities are accurately identified and fulfilled.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Undertake site inspections across the Council’s property
estate to assess compliance with statutory regulations.
- Identify areas of non‑compliance and ensure appropriate
remedial actions are defined and implemented.
- Verify that compliance requirements are met across a range
of property types and assets.
- Manage third‑party contractors to deliver
required compliance works within agreed timelines and standards.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are
completed effectively and to specification.
- Coordinate remedial action plans and track delivery
progress.
Essential Experience Required
- Experience working within property compliance, facilities
management or building maintenance environments.
- Experience conducting site inspections and identifying
compliance or maintenance issues.
- Experience managing contractors and overseeing delivery of
works.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Strong knowledge of
statutory property compliance requirements (e.g. gas safety, electrical safety,
fire safety, water hygiene).
- Understanding of
building pathology and M&E systems.
