Job Title: Residential Worker – Solo Provision

Contract: 2-3 months contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

Work in a small team to support and implement the development of the children’s home.
Enhance and effect change for the well-being of all children through training and development.
Be an effective member of Egerton Children’s Home team.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Recognize and meet the young people’s needs, ensuring freedom from discrimination and protecting them from harm.
Assist in compliance with Ofsted, legislation, and company policies.
Exercise responsible control over the children to ensure safety and well-being.
Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of individual care plans.
Organize and supervise recreational and leisure activities for the children.
Ensure positive participation in the children’s home and attend training.
Follow Child Protection Procedures and 'Safer Caring and Child Protection Procedures'.

Essential Experience Required

Experience of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
Approximately 2 years of experience working in children's homes and supporting vulnerable young people.

Essential Qualification Required

Ideally will have or be working towards NVQ Level 3 in working with children and young people.
