Job Title: Residential Worker – Solo Provision


Contract: 2-3 months contract with a local authority

Job Purpose
  • Work in a small team to support and implement the development of the children’s home.
  • Enhance and effect change for the well-being of all children through training and development.
  • Be an effective member of Egerton Children’s Home team.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
  • Recognize and meet the young people’s needs, ensuring freedom from discrimination and protecting them from harm.
  • Assist in compliance with Ofsted, legislation, and company policies.
  • Exercise responsible control over the children to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of individual care plans.
  • Organize and supervise recreational and leisure activities for the children.
  • Ensure positive participation in the children’s home and attend training.
  • Follow Child Protection Procedures and 'Safer Caring and Child Protection Procedures'.
Essential Experience Required
  • Experience of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Approximately 2 years of experience working in children's homes and supporting vulnerable young people.
Essential Qualification Required
  • Ideally will have or be working towards NVQ Level 3 in working with children and young people.
Additional Information
  • Working hours: 36 hours per week
  • Enhanced DBS is required for the role.
  • New 2 bed children's home based in Whetstone, N20.
  • Shift work available.
