Senior Business Analyst – 2 Month Contract

Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities across complex digital and business change projects.
  
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and identify improvement opportunities.
  
• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  
• Produce business cases, feasibility studies, process maps, and solution specifications.
  
• Translate business requirements into clearly defined project deliverables.
  
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirements sessions.
  
• Support project delivery, systems implementation, integration, and service improvements.
  
• Assess the impact of proposed changes on systems, processes, and services.
  
• Define and support user acceptance testing and implementation activities.
  
• Provide expert business analysis advice and mentor junior analysts.
  
• Promote the use of BCS business analysis methodologies and best practices.
  
• Collaborate closely with project managers, service managers, suppliers, and technical teams.
  

Essential

• Significant experience working as a Senior Business Analyst.
  
• Proven experience delivering complex IT, digital transformation, or business change projects.
  
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills.
  
• Experience producing business requirements, process maps, and solution documentation.
  
• Knowledge of BCS Business Analysis methodologies and best practices.
  
• Experience working between business users and technical delivery teams.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  
• Ability to lead workshops and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  

Desirable

• Experience working within Local Government or the Public Sector.
  
• Business Analysis qualification (BCS or equivalent).
  
• Experience supporting system implementations, integrations, and procurement activities.
  
• Knowledge of business process improvement and digital transformation programs.
