Job description
3 months contract with local authority
Our mission is to develop a cohesive health and social care workforce that collaborates effectively to enhance outcomes for residents. This includes establishing an integrated access point to support efficient multidisciplinary decision-making and planning, minimizing delays, avoiding duplication, and bridging service gaps. Our goal is to deliver timely support that optimizes independence, fosters recovery, and prevents decline, enabling individuals to live healthy, independent lives in their own homes or preferred settings. We aim to provide adequate home support to prevent hospital admissions, reduce the escalation of care to non-home settings, and ensure a prompt return to usual residences following temporary care escalations. The role of Senior Occupational Therapists is crucial in overseeing the Occupational Therapy service within Islington adult social care, including children's cases. They provide specialist advice, support, and leadership to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality, strengths-based practice in line with statutory responsibilities.
