5-6 Months Contract Role with a Local Authority
Summary
- This role involves planning and delivering high-quality accredited and non-accredited adult learning programmes that cater to the diverse needs of learners. The position is crucial in supporting individuals to achieve their goals, build skills, and progress into further education or employment, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and safeguarding requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and high-quality learning programmes tailored to individual learner needs.
- Embed English, maths, ICT, safeguarding, Prevent, British values, equality and diversity, and health and wellbeing into teaching delivery.
- Conduct initial and diagnostic assessments to inform learning plans and programme delivery.
- Set and monitor SMART targets through individual learning plans, carrying out regular progress reviews.
- Maintain accurate learner records, including attendance, assessment outcomes, and progression data.
- Support learners with enrolment processes, form completion, eligibility checks, and fee collection where required.
Requirements:
Essential Experience Required
- Experience delivering adult learning programmes in a community or further education setting.
- Experience working with diverse communities and learners with varying needs and backgrounds.
- Experience supporting learners with enrolment, administration, and progression processes.
- Experience delivering both accredited and non-accredited programmes.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g., DTLLS or equivalent) or willingness to work towards.
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTTLS) (essential).
- English and Maths Level 2 or above.
- Relevant subject qualification (degree level desirable).
Additional Information
- Working hours: 12 hours per week.
- Onsite interviews.
- The post holder will work on a sessional basis, delivering at least one course per educational term. This is a short-term contract until the end of the first term (Autumn), subject to review for the next term.
- Location: The Curve, William Street, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 1XY, United Kingdom.
- Enhanced DBS required.
- Bi-weekly schedule.
