3 Month Contract With A Local Authority



Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee temporary accommodation (TA) for residents, ensuring high-quality standards, timely resolution of complaints, and excellent customer service. The role involves working closely with internal teams, managing agents, and property inspectors to maintain suitable and compliant temporary housing.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on complaints and enquiries from residents regarding temporary accommodation, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Liaise with managing agents and internal colleagues to assess and confirm the suitability of temporary accommodation.
  • Collaborate with property inspectors to monitor, maintain, and improve the quality and standards of temporary housing.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to residents, addressing concerns and providing guidance regarding temporary accommodation.
  • Maintain accurate records of accommodation allocations, inspections, complaints, and resolutions.
  • Support internal processes and initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the temporary accommodation service.
  • Identify and escalate systemic issues or trends in TA provision to management.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in housing, property management, or customer service, ideally within local government or housing associations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage complaints and sensitive enquiries professionally and empathetically.
  • Organisational skills to manage multiple cases and priorities efficiently.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and temporary accommodation standards is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
