1-Month Contract with a Local Authority

Summary
  • This role involves providing short-term support by sourcing appropriate care home placements for older adults, ensuring their assessed needs are met in accordance with the Care Act. The position requires working within local authority contracts, commissioning, and budgetary processes while maintaining high standards of communication, professional record-keeping, and accurate financial management.
Responsibilities
  • Source suitable care home placements for older adults based on assessed needs and care plans.
  • Ensure all placements comply with Care Act duties and align with quality, safety, and best value requirements.
  • Operate within local authority contracting frameworks, approved provider lists, and budget authorization procedures.
  • Liaise with care homes, brokerage teams, social workers, and commissioning colleagues to confirm availability and secure placements.
Essential Experience Required
  • Experience in sourcing care home placements for older adults.
  • Strong understanding of the Care Act and its application in care provision.
Essential Qualifications Required
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • High standard of record-keeping and attention to detail.
Additional Information
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Location: Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG2 7QP, United Kingdom
  • Work pattern: 1-2 days office-based weekly.
  • Payment: Bi-weekly
