Summary
The Renters Rights Act Project Officer plays a pivotal role in advocating for and protecting the rights of tenants within the community. This position is crucial in ensuring that renters are informed about their rights and responsibilities, and that they have access to necessary resources and support. The Project Officer will work closely with tenants, landlords, and community organizations to promote fair housing practices and resolve disputes effectively. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs to educate tenants about their rights under the Renters Rights Act.
  • Serve as a liaison between tenants, landlords, and community organizations to facilitate communication and resolve disputes.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars to inform the community about tenant rights and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with legal professionals to provide guidance and support to tenants facing housing issues.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of tenant rights initiatives and suggest improvements.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing laws and regulations to provide accurate information.
