6 Month Contract With A Local Authority

We are seeking a time-served, fully qualified Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical works across both tenanted and void domestic properties within a social housing environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical knowledge, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to safe, compliant, and customer-focused service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair works to a high standard in domestic properties
  

• Work effectively in both tenanted and void properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
  

• Diagnose electrical faults accurately and carry out effective repairs within domestic settings
  

• Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and certification in accordance with current regulations
  

• Trace, identify, and rectify electrical faults safely and efficiently
  

• Undertake repairs and fault-finding on various types of domestic central heating systems
  

• Ensure all works comply with current IET Wiring Regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies
  

• Complete all job documentation accurately, including test results and certification
  

• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times
  

• Work independently or as part of a wider maintenance team as required
  

Requirements

• Time-served, fully qualified Electrician
  

• Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  

• Proven experience working within social housing
  

• Strong knowledge of domestic electrical systems
  

• Excellent testing, inspection, and diagnostic skills
  

• Ability to trace and rectify electrical faults efficiently
  

• Experience working on or alongside domestic central heating systems
  

• Full UK driving licence
