3 months contract with local authority
The Occupational Health Advisor role within North Yorkshire Council's Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service is integral to delivering comprehensive health services, health promotion activities, and health surveillance programs to various stakeholders, including Council staff, Schools, Academies, and external contracts. This position offers significant autonomy, allowing for flexible work arrangements, including remote work, while being based at the County Hall offices in Northallerton. The role is ideal for a candidate with a strong clinical and operational background, who is passionate about the positive impact of proactive occupational health and is adept at managing their own caseload.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational health services and health promotion activities.
- Conduct health surveillance programs for managers and staff.
- Manage and self-direct your own workload with a focus on performance and solutions.
- Collaborate with a team of qualified OH Advisers and Technicians.
- Provide effective case management to achieve positive outcomes.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote health and wellbeing.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven track record of high-standard clinical and operational work.
- Extensive experience in managing personal caseloads.
- Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
- Relevant qualifications in occupational health.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, including from home.
- Strong knowledge and experience in practical and effective advice delivery.
