Job description
3 month contract role with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
• Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Senior Management Team within the Working Denbighshire service.
• Support the effective delivery of employment and community initiatives aimed at helping residents overcome barriers to employment and reduce poverty across Denbighshire.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, partner organisations and external stakeholders to ensure services are coordinated and project objectives are achieved.
• Maintain accurate records, support project coordination activities and ensure compliance with monitoring frameworks and funding requirements.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management Team and the wider Working Denbighshire service.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal departments, external partners and service providers, ensuring queries are handled efficiently and professionally.
• Implement and maintain administrative systems to support effective project planning, monitoring and scheduling.
• Assist with project delivery activities including procurement support, placing orders via Proactis, organising training and maintaining project documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and data in accordance with monitoring frameworks and reporting requirements for UK Government, Welsh Government and funding bodies.
• Organise and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and distributing documentation.
• Produce professional documentation including reports, spreadsheets, presentations and data summaries.
• Support the local delivery team with the implementation and ongoing operation of employment support programmes.
• Ensure all personal and sensitive information is handled securely and in line with information governance policies.
• Provide signposting and information to individuals or groups seeking support services where appropriate.
• Support the promotion of Working Denbighshire services and contribute to achieving programme targets and objectives.
Skills/Experience:
• Experience working in an administrative or project support role within a busy office environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Experience supporting project delivery, programme coordination or service administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.
• Experience preparing reports, spreadsheets and documentation using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Positive attitude with the willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience working collaboratively within a team environment.

• Location: East Parade, Rhyl, Denbighshire, LL18 3AH (office-based role).
• Working Hours: 37 hours per week.
