3 Months contract with a local authority

Summary
  • The postholder will be responsible for receiving, reviewing, and coordinating all initial referrals into the Family Service Autism and ADHD Team. They will assess each referral against the service’s threshold criteria to determine suitability for triage assessment and ensure families and professionals receive timely guidance. Where referrals do not meet criteria, the postholder will offer appropriate signposting to external support services to ensure families access the most suitable provision.
Responsibilities
  • Receive, log, and manage all incoming referrals into the Family Service Autism and ADHD Team.
  • Assess new referrals against established threshold criteria to determine eligibility for triage assessment.
  • Prioritise referrals appropriately to ensure timely service response.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with data protection requirements.
Requirements
  • Essential Experience Required
    • Experience working within a Children’s and Families Service setting.
    • Experience supporting families whose children have additional needs or behaviours associated with neurodiversity, including ADHD and ASD.
  • Essential Qualifications Required
    • 5 GCSEs (A–C) including English, or equivalent qualifications.
    • Working knowledge of ADHD and ASD, and awareness of the support services available within Nottinghamshire for affected families.
    • Understanding of early help frameworks and family support best practices.
    • Full driving licence (unless registered disabled)

  • Working hours: 37 hours per week
  • Enhanced DBS required.

  • Work pattern: 2-3 days remote working and 1-2 days weekly in the office.
  • Payment schedule: Bi-weekly
