5-6 Months Contract with a Local Authority

Summary
  • The Registered Manager for the Reablement and Independence Service will provide strategic and operational leadership for a dedicated team delivering high-quality, short-term, outcome-focused reablement support. This role is crucial in ensuring safe, effective, person-centred care that aids individuals in regaining independence, confidence, and control over their daily lives, enabling them to live safely at home and reduce reliance on long-term services.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strong, visible leadership for the Reablement and Independence Service, fostering a positive, supportive culture focused on high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring services run safely, effectively, and in line with CQC regulations and local authority policies.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory standards, including safeguarding, health and safety, medication management, and data protection.
  • Ensure safe staffing levels, effective rota planning, and appropriate deployment of resources across the service.
  • Promote a strengths-based, person-centred approach that maximises independence and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within social care, reablement, domiciliary care, rehabilitation, or a regulated care environment.
  • Experience in leading, supervising, and developing staff teams in a care setting.
  • Experience working within CQC-regulated services, including understanding inspections, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards if not already achieved).
  • Up-to-date training in safeguarding adults, health and safety, and care governance.
  • Mandatory CQC Registered Manager eligibility and suitability criteria.
Additional Information
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-call duties as required.
  • 3 days in the office.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Bi-weekly payment schedule.
