Summary
The Service Manager for Adolescent Safeguarding plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of adolescents within our community. This position is crucial in developing and implementing safeguarding strategies that protect young individuals from harm while promoting their health and development. The role requires a compassionate leader with a strong background in social work and a commitment to fostering safe environments for children and families. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance our safeguarding services and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the adolescent safeguarding team to deliver high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures in line with legal and ethical standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create intervention plans to address potential safeguarding issues.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including social services, healthcare providers, and educational institutions, to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding.
  • Provide training and support to staff on safeguarding practices and protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safeguarding strategies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safeguarding cases and interventions.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of adolescents and their families within the community.


Requirements

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the social, health, or care sectors.
  • Strong background in social work, particularly with adolescents and families.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding principles, policies, and legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and rights of children and adolescents.
